This morning I watched the first episode of an anime series called Seto no Hanayome . It's about a mermaid who falls in love with a human boy. The twist is that merfolk society closely resembles Japanese organised crime--yakuza. I love that premise, but unfortunately it's executed as just another run of the mill hyperactive romantic comedy. It made me long for the days of Ranma 1/2 , when tales of complicated relationships between martial artist shapeshifters had heart . My sister and I are now going to try to see The Dark Knight . I've already drawn half a page to-day, hopefully I'll have time for the rest after the movie . . . Assuming we can get into the movie.
