I also saw The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. Twice. It's extremely good, and I enjoyed it even in spite of a group of homophobic hecklers present during my second viewing.
Aside from those things . . . lately I've been reading Shirley Jackson's We Have Always Lived in the Castle which Caitlin Kiernan recommended to me. So far it's been a fascinating read. I'm only twenty pages into it, but I'm quite absorbed, and it wholly gives one the feeling of being right in the middle of something full and great.
I was reading it this Friday night at North County Fair mall, a place I went to since it was dark, rainy, far away, and in the epicentre of Christmas shopping. I like a thrill!
